STOP THE BOMB criticizes meeting of Austrian President and FM with “friendly face of terror”

Stephan Grigat, the academic director of STOP THE BOMB, in regard of the meeting of Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen and Austrian FM Sebastian Kurz with the President of the Iranian regime at the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York: 

“Meeting with Rouhani legitimizes the regime of the Ayatollahs. Under his presidency even more people in Iran have been executed than under his predecessor. He is the ‘friendly face of terror’ and stands for a regime whose severely expansionist policy and support for terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Hamas considerably adds to the instability of the region. Rouhani called Israel a ‘festering tumor’. Meeting with him only aims at improving the conditions for Austrian business with the Iranian Holocaust deniers, who until today continue to threaten Israel with annihilation.”
