Iranian regime on a visit to Vienna
STOP THE BOMB criticizes silence on visit of Najjar
The coalition STOP THE BOMB criticizes the silence of Austrian politicians over the visit of Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Mohammad-Najjar last Monday in Vienna. Najjar who is subject to sanctions because of an EU-wide travel ban gave a lecture in Vienna by invitation of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs.
Najjar is an example of the internal and external terror of the regime. He is responsible for the bloody repression of the Iranian freedom movement and for numerous terrorist attacks abroad. STOP THE BOMB spokeswoman Simone Dinah Hartmann finds it significant that so far no Austrian politician has criticized this visit: "While dictators like Gaddafi are now even confronted with military measures, Vienna's dialogue with the Iranian terror regime continues. It is particularly absurd to involve Iran in the fight against illegal drug trafficking. On the one hand, the accusation of drug trafficking, which may end with death penalty in Iran, is used repeatedly against political opponents by the regime. On the other hand, there are massive accusations against the Iranian Revolutionary Guards to be itself a major drug trafficker."
