Israel is "a cancerous tumor that must be cut and will be cut". These are the words of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The Iranian regime is working hard to advance its technological capabilities which would allow to put its extermination threats and phantasies into action. Europe's misguided Iran policy and especially Europe's trade with the Ayatollahs help the regime to stay in power. Can there be an alternative policy? What can be done in Austria against the Iranian regime? What to think about the new Iranian president Hassan Rouhani?
This lecture offers a characterization of the Iranian regime and an analysis of Austria's role in Europe's policy of appeasement and collaboration toward the Iranian regime in the last three decades. It will also focus on the threat to Israel at a time of turmoil in the Middle East.
