Stop Salehi!

Down with the Iranian regime!

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi is going to represent the Iranian regime at the IAEA General Conference in Vienna. Already from 2009 until 2011 Salehi served as chief of the Iranian nuclear program and was thus placed on the EU sanctions list. Later Salehi became Ahmadinejad’s foreign minister and absurdly was taken off the sanctions list. During his last visit as foreign minister to Vienna in February he was received by Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger and in an interview openly threatened critics of the Iranian regime.

Salehi undoubtedly embodies the continuity in the Iranian regime’s unchanged nuclear aspirations. The new Iranian president Hassan Rouhani solely stands for a new tactic that is to buy the Ayatollahs more time and to ease the sanctions. Even after Rouhani’s election the Supreme Leader and other regime officials have reinforced their annihilation threats against Israel. Nothing has changed with the brutal oppression of the Iranian population. Since the elections more than 140 people have been executed. The nuclear and missiles programs have been extended. In this situation negotiations only offer the regime more time for further uranium enrichment and plutonium production.

The Iranian nuclear program is an existential threat to Israel’s existence, poses a danger for Europe and for the Iranian population. We will therefore not let the appearance of the Iranian regime’s nuclear chief pass unchallenged.
